Another Agape

Date 6/8/2008
The "Agapes" (love feasts), a blessed practice of the early Christians are just as good for us today! How nice for God's people to get together around the tables and enjoy, along with the goodies the sisters prepare, brotherly fellowship! All this is certainly a blessing when done under the strict supervision of godly ministers and never at the expense of the spiritual part of a local church's life. The picture shows another such "Agape" of the Athens Baptist Church after the Sunday evening service.  One may notice that no men are in the photo; well, this is because we believe in "ladies first"!

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
