Suffer little children

Date 26/12/2007

When Jesus was down here, mothers brought their little ones to Him so that He, by putting His hands on their heads, might bless them! His disciples, however, forbad them. But Jesus said to them: "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God." (Luke 18: 16). Whatever the Lord might have meant by that, one thing is certain, that the message was addressed to adults and not to children. In other words He said, unless you humble yourselves and realize that you are lost sinners and come to me as your Savior you won't enter into the kingdom of God. This, in effect, is the essence of the gospel. The steps to salvation are: realization of one's sinfulness, deep feeling of the need of salvation, accepting Christ as one's personal Savior. Reader, have done all this? Jesus died for your sins on the Cross and all He expects of you now is to trust Him and receive Him by faith. If you haven't done it yet, do it now, you'll be saved eternally.

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
