Worship Hour

Date 30/5/1986

Congregation! I remember since the years of childhood the word was connected in my memory with prayer, singing and preaching! The photo shows the Athens Baptist Church in its early years. Small space, but full! Full not only with people, but mostly with the presence of God. One could see God's joy in the radiant faces of the believers. Visitors were present almost in every service. God was sure at work among and with us and quite a number of souls were saved. God is still with us and blesses, in spite of losses and problems, as well as failures, and we, as His servants, continue obeying and doing the work He has committed to us. But, humanly speaking, as we look back to those years, nostalgia fills our hearts. However, the future is incomparably brighter. Our Lord is coming back to take us unto Himself; and what a glorious and blessed reunion that will be! It is beyond imagining but within believing. Even so, come Lord Jesus. Amen.

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
